ABINASH BAR

Abinash Bar is a six year old boy coming from a poor family in Sundharban village. He has one sister, and unfortunately their father left the family when he was three. Since then, their mother has taken them to the city in the thought of earning more money and making ends meet for the family. Regardless of his situation, Abinash desires to be a good citizen and wishes to become a pilot.
One day, Abinash went to a shop where he met Brother Tepes. Then he started to share with Tepes about his family situation and about his desire to become a pilot. He asked Tepes whether he could help him for food and study. Tepes knew about ASSI and the Sahyog-A-Child Center in Kolkata; he brought Abinash to our Center. In 2007 we registered Abinash to a reputable school and he did very well in his first year. He got an excellent score in his final exam (557 out of 600, with 100% for his Math) and his teachers love him. Abinash also represented his school for a competition in another school.
Our hearts cherish to see a boy who was once helpless, now has the chance to have a better future and fulfill his desire to be a good man and contribute to his community.
