SHAHID REUNITED WITH HIS FAMILY

During the inauguration of our newest Sahyog-A-Child Center in Mulgalsari on February 29, 2008, one boy came forward to talk to Usha Das, ASSI Director and gave his phone number to her. The boy, Shahid, shared that he was travelling with his parents but he lost them in the crowd when they were in Allahabad. When Usha called his house, his mom picked up the phone and after listening to Shahid’s voice she cried and asked where he is at. Shahid also started to cry and called for his mother. Usha then explained to the mother that ASSI will keep Shahid safe in our Center and asked for his family to get him and bring him home. After several days, Shahid’s brother that worked in Mumbai came to fetch him and bring him to reunite with his family.
