Asian Sahyogi Sanstha India (ASSI) became a charitable Society in 1996, registering with the Government of India under “Societies Registration Act”. It is authorized to work all over India, with the head office in Gorakhpur, U.P. The organization is also registered with the Ministry of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation, which empowers the organization to work with orphans, street children, physically challenged, widows and the homeless.

ASSI purpose statement “Sharing Quality Life-Style through Holistic Ministry” sums up its mission, vision and objectives. It has been working from its inception, to take all its programs to the grassroot level to enable social and spiritual change by eradicating social evils, habits, illiteracy, health, and spiritual relationship. ASSI believes that when individuals change, then families can change. Changes in families lead ultimately to changes in the entire community.
